Holy moly this book was intoxicating in the best way! It has hot alpha American football players - three specific bad boys you want to keep you eyes on *wink wink*, a strong female main character who doesn’t take anything sitting down, legit enemies to lovers, bully high school romance (my favorite), and RH with steamy AF scenes and all the tension (also a favorite)! I honestly loved everything in this book, all of these tropes are my favorite and Eden and these guys have become a favorite of mine.Eden is left with so many questions when she enters the new town her senior year and it doesn’t help that while she’s trying to find answers she runs into the three reigning kings of the high school. They don’t like anyone not following their rules and Eden could care less what they say. On top of the school and the drama inside unfolding the town sits on top of secrets past and present. The town may look pretty with its scenic view of the beach but the town is toxic and full of pawns - some more evil than others. Theres plenty of pieces on the board and multiple games of chess going on to figure out.There’s so much tension, angst, mystery and steam it will have your eyes glued to the page from the start! All of the emotions are happening as well from anger, pain, desperation, happiness, determination, desire, fear, and so much more! You get the POV’s from everyone and I loved seeing all of their perspectives and dynamics with the many moving parts and the varying characters.Eden is this bada$$ goddess who dresses to knock them dead, has a hilarious sarcastic attitude, and loves to play video games. She’s honestly just kicka$$ and fearless, she’s confident in her own skin and doesn’t back down. She immediately is drawn to the three stunning football hot shots and can’t decide if that’s a good thing or not. Each guy is different in their own way but their bond and brotherhood is so close I love how supportive they are of one another in their tight knit group.Xavier is this hot and cold alpha who one second you think you’re figuring him out and then the next he’s infuriating and gorgeous while he’s walking awayHunter is this deep caring nerd hottie who doesn’t let anyone in and let anything show but if you’re in he can be the most caringTobias is the jokester of the group and is the loudest, he’s got quick comebacks and a bold personality to matchThere are a couple side characters that grow to be important to Eden and I loved seeing her have people on her side and in her corner backing her.I loved seeing how much was revealed as you read and try to figure out how the dots connect and where. I need to know so much more and I can’t wait for the next book! Poor Eden comes to Knight’s Creek after her father is murdered. Once she gets there she meets the All Stars Xavier (AKA Mr. Broody), Tobias and Hunter. Eden is a give no f&**& kinda girl. She’s got balls of Steel. Even the little twits that think they are gonna send her running don’t even phase her. Finding Charlie as her friend and having Archie make it bearable for her. The All Stars blow hot to cold but they sure do keep each other on their toes. As usual KC knocked it out of the park.
